Requirements:
·
BS Chemical
Engineering with minimum 7 years of experience in a chemical
manufacturing environment and a project role
·
Process
/equipment design experience and use of simulation software
·
Strong
chemical engineering knowledge with proven ability to apply that
technical knowledge
·
Experience
with inorganic and hazardous chemicals
·
Knowledge of
engineering processes and related engineering legislation and
standards.
·
Six sigma
certification preferred
Basic
Function:
Supports the
design, commissioning, and operation of a new manufacturing
facility while maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
·
As a member of the Project Team acts as general contractor -
overseeing engineering plant design and commissioning.
·
Monitoring key in-process and laboratory data, communicating
effectively with manufacturing, maintenance, and R&D and
providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed.
·
Develop procedures for commissioning of plant.
·
Participate in process HAZOP reviews
·
Identify and implement technology, process improvements, and
best practices addressing quality and cost
·
Provide detailed process designs for technology and quality
projects in accordance with appropriate standards
·
Maintain and foster collaborative relationships with R&D,
Manufacturing, Reliability, Maintenance, Safety and Quality
teams to identify and share best practices
·
Supports initiatives for compliance with regulatory requirements
·
Other duties as assigned

established chemical company, building a new plant southwest of
Chicago. The plant will start up after the first of the year.
It has five years of pre-sold contracts for product. When this
plant is up and running at capacity plans are set to build a
second plant near by, and continue growth to other states and
