Process Engineer

Requirements:
·
BS
Chemical Engineering with minimum 7 years of process engineering
experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
·
Experience with chemical troubleshooting and optimization.
·
Experience with project engineering and equipment redesign.
·
Strong chemical engineering knowledge with proven ability to apply
that technical knowledge hands-on in the plant
·
Knowledge of engineering processes and related engineering
legislation and standards.
·
Six sigma certification preferred.
Basic Function:
Supports the
design, commissioning, and operation of a new chemical manufacturing
facility while maintaining a safe work environment. After start-up
duties will entail process troubleshooting, optimization, and
technical support to production.
Responsibilities:
·
Initially supports plant design, commissioning and operations by
monitoring key in-process and laboratory data, communicating
effectively with the project team, manufacturing, maintenance, and
R&D and providing technical support and troubleshooting.
·
Develop procedures for commissioning of plant.
·
Participate in process HAZOP reviews
·
Identify and implement technology, process improvements, and best
practices addressing quality and cost
·
Maintain and foster collaborative relationships with R&D,
Manufacturing, Reliability, Maintenance, Safety and Quality teams to
identify and share best practices
·
Supports initiatives for compliance with regulatory requirements
·
Other duties as assigned
